Thank you for your interest in Chaminade College Preparatory – one of the premier private high schools in Southern California! Chaminade admits interested and qualified transfer students based on space availability. There is no “set number” of transfer space in any given grade level. Transfer applications are considered for admission to grades 10 – 11 primarily for entrance in the fall semester. Transfer applications to the 12th grade and/or mid-year transfer applications for spring semester in any grade are welcome, but limited to space availability and well-matched academic preparation that will provide the best chance for student success.

Transfer applicants are encouraged to apply by the regular application deadline in January. Chaminade will consider transfers on an ongoing basis past our enrollment deadlines on a space available basis. Transfer applicants are welcome to apply for tuition assistance after submitting a complete admissions application.

Admissions criteria
A transfer applicant must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average. They may not have any un-remediated D or F grades on their academic transcript. Please remember that these are minimum requirements for application. Acceptance is based on a variety of factors, and not all transfer applicants are accepted. Some students may be accepted on a conditional basis. No applicant can turn 20 years old before June 1 of their 12th grade year.

Application process
If you meet the above criteria and would like to apply to Chaminade as a transfer student, complete the application online on the “Apply Now” page on the school website. Transfer applications will not be evaluated for admission to the school until all steps of the online application have been completed.  If there are any questions during the application process, you can contact the Admissions Office to discuss your unique situation.

If you would like to discuss your unique transfer situation, please visit the Virtual Admissions Center at www.chaminade.org/hsadmissions to connect with our Admissions Team.
