The Chaminade family spirit exists because of the time, effort and service that our volunteers demonstrate every day. There are many volunteer opportunities to fit a wide variety of skills and schedules. Volunteering is not only a meaningful way to support Chaminade and meet new friends, it is a way to show your student that you are committed to his or her education.

  • Adam and Karen Friedman

Parents of Julian ’20 and Liam ’22

Adam and Karen Friedman have been all-star volunteers since they arrived at Chaminade in 2014. As Presidential Ambassadors, they fearlessly called other parents to garner financial support for Chaminade. In 2017, Karen chaired the Gala auction committee, helping raise close to $100,000 in the online and silent auctions. In 2019, Karen co-chaired the Holly Berry Luncheon and Boutique, which raised over $15,000 for the Campus Life Fund. All this led to Karen’s big moment, co-chairing the 2021 Gala. Karen and her co-chair Lori Shroyer had the vision and determination to make the Gala happen, despite a global pandemic. Additionally, Karen has supported the middle school choral program and the high school drama program – truly a Drama Mama! Both Adam and Karen bring boundless energy and joy to their work, and we are grateful for their support.
