  • First Day of School

    The first day of school is Wednesday, August 11. More information about plans to open our school full-time and in-person will follow after June 15.
  • Tablet Computers

    Tablet computers will be distributed to new students during the New Family Welcome Event on August 9.
  • Lockers

    Locker assignments will be issued at the New Family Welcome Event on August 9. Students will have the opportunity to practice using their lockers at both the Welcome Event and New Student Orientation.

    Class schedules will be released soon. The online bookstore will open after schedules are released.

  • Textbooks

    Chaminade uses MBS Direct as the official online bookstore for purchasing or renting all course textbooks, including summer reading books.

    Most courses REQUIRE the one-year online digital textbook for use at school. In addition to the one-year online digital textbook, you may purchase OPTIONAL hard copies for those who want print versions at home. Please read the instructor's notes at the top of each course to see what is required for each course.
    Families must create an account before purchasing or renting textbooks. Continuing families of students who attended the middle or high school should log in as an existing customer.
    MBS Direct guarantees free shipping on all orders over $99 if ordered by August 10. If you have questions while creating or accessing your account, contact MBS Direct at 844-603-9960.

  • Backbacks

    Any standard-sized backpack with a tablet insert/compartment will fit into lockers. A backpack AND a laptop bag are not required.

  • School Supplies

    This year's middle school supplies list for all grades has been updated to reflect a move towards students working within a cloud-based environment, which includes Google Apps integration with Schoology, digital submissions through Schoology, school-wide subscriptions to digital tools.

    This move will reduce the need for paper hence the reduction of items to be carried in backpacks or stored in lockers.

  • Uniforms

    Daily uniform summary for 2021-2022
    Dennis Uniforms and the Chaminade Booster store are the official vendors for all uniform items. The following items of dress code are the only acceptable uniform options that may be worn.

    Pants, skirts, skorts, shorts, shirts, PE shirts, and PE shorts.

    • 8th-grade girls: Choice of a navy skirt with logo, khaki skirts (no logo), and skorts.

    Campus Ministry
    Students will be expected to do apostolic work hours during the school year. Due to the specifics of our program and the fluidity of the pandemic situation, no hours completed during the summer will count towards their school year requirement.
    Retreats on campus are back for all grade levels. Save the date!

    Families interested in having their child receive the Sacraments of Initiation in the Catholic Church should contact Mrs. Beskid at This program is for any child who would like to be baptized and receive their First Communion. They will receive formation during x-block and attend gatherings in partnership with a local parish. 

    Tryouts for the 6th-grade team and new 7th and 8th graders who missed spring tryouts are August 16-20.

    Members of the cheer team are ineligible to play fall and winter sports but can participate in the spring sports offerings.

    It’s almost audition time for the Eagle Dance Team! All 6th, 7th, or 8th-grade boys or girls with intermediate to advanced level dance experience are welcome to audition for the team. We are learning the routine on Tuesday, August 17, and Thursday, August 19, from 3:15-5:00 pm in the gym, if allowed to be together in person or online during those times.
    Auditions take place on Friday, August 20, starting at 3:15 p.m., either in the gym or remotely.
    Audition packets will be available in Ms. Eaton’s office and the fall CTW. Contact Coach Eaton at with any additional questions.
    Auditions are held during the first full week of school, and the team practices and performs from August through May. Rehearsal times are Wednesday mornings in the gym. Eagle Dance Team performs at the middle school Pep Rally for Homecoming, Open House, Liturgies, the Fine Arts Awards Assembly, and throughout the year at various school events at both our middle school and high school campuses.

    Concert Choir is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade boys and girls who wish to learn and perform all genres of choral music.  NO AUDITION NECESSARY. All members will strengthen existing sight-reading skills and learn proper vocal techniques, enabling them to meet the demands of accelerated ensembles in high school.

    Athletics - Middle School
    Information on Tryouts (dates/times) and startup practices will be updated during the summer and posted on the Middle School Athletic Webpage.

    Tackle Football practices begin early August – Schedule to be posted online.

    All other sports tryouts and practices begin after school starts.

  • Transportation

    Chaminade offers bus services to both the middle and the high school campuses and intercampus buses, allowing families to travel to the school closest to them. We offer buses from the East San Fernando Valley area with stops along Ventura Boulevard, the Santa Clarita (Valencia) area, the Conejo Valley area with stops along the 23 and 101 Freeways.
    The bus schedule for the upcoming school year will be emailed to all registered families closer to the start of school. Schedules will be published on our transportation page, along with pricing, routes, stops, FAQ page, and the link to register.

  • New Family Welcome Event

    Monday, August 9
    4:30-6:30 p.m.

    For all new incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students and parents. Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. and the program starts promptly at 4:30 p.m. More details to follow, pending health and safety guidelines.
  • New Student Orientation

    Tuesday, August 10
    8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

    New students will begin their Chaminade journey on Orientation day! On this day, students are required to bring their newly issued tablet inside their tablet bag, which was issued at our New Family Welcome Event or at our Center For Excellence. Students are required to dress in full uniform and may bring lunch or use cash to purchase lunch in the cafeteria.

    What else will happen at the Orientation?
    • Eagle ID card pictures will be taken.
    • Teachers will introduce students to widely used programs on their tablet PC and demonstrate the basics of their new educational tool.
    • Students will meet their WEB Leaders (8th-grade leaders), who will facilitate interactive icebreakers and give helpful hints for a successful start to the year!
  • New Family Information Night - Virtual Event

    • Upload Apostolic Works hours into Naviance
    • Access school information and navigate Schoology, our learning management system.
    • Utilize the counseling service and get tips and strategies to help with a smooth middle school transition
    • Navigate the athletic program regarding tryout processes, online registration for sports, and program philosophy
    • Get involved in leadership opportunities and student activities, such as clubs and the House System
