C-Notes

The Chaminade

C-Notes
This concert choir is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls who wish to learn and perform all genres of choral music. No audition necessary.
We invite all middle school students to participate in our C-Notes choir under the direction of our new Music Director, Mrs. Madelyn Hoffman. The C-Notes is a non-auditioned middle school choir open to boys and girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Students are given opportunities to express their individual musical talents as well as develop life skills that result in confident and expressive singing. Students learn proper vocal techniques, music literacy skills, and perform a wide variety of song repertoire.

If you are interested in signing up, please complete the interest form here.

The C-Notes performances include a Christmas Concert at the High School Tudor Center as well as a Spring Concert at the Middle School DeLong Center. This choir competes each year in an adjudicated choral festival and has consistently earned a "Gold" ranking in the middle school concert choir division. The C-Notes have had the distinct honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019 and were selected by audition to be the feature choir in the National Youth Festival at Carnegie Hall in 2011, 2013, and 2015.

Students are given opportunities to audition for solos throughout the year and are also expected to maintain good attendance, have a positive attitude and joy for singing, and serve as representatives of our school and its choir program
