2009 Inductees

Scott Borchart '01
Scott has excelled on and off the court since he first set foot on the Chaminade campus in 1997. During his time at Chaminade, Scott consistently achieved greatness on the hardwood. He was a varsity starter all four years, leading the team to two back-to-back CIF titles and racking up over 90 wins between 1997 and 2001. He holds school records for points scored (1,788), charges taken (41), blocks (118), and total rebounds (882). 

Tom Condon '56
Tom’s career in athletics spanned his years at Chaminade through college and the Baltimore Colts. Tom was one of three people from the class of 1956 that lettered in football, baseball and basketball. He played football at Pierce Junior College, Los Angeles City College and Los Angeles State College. He made All-League at LA City College in 1957 and at Cal State LA in 1959 and 1960. Tom went on to captain the US Army football team and then signed a contract with the Baltimore Colts in 1962.

Joe Rauser
Joe has been teaching Language Skills and American History and coaching at Chaminade for 44 years. During his time at Chaminade, Joe has made a great impression on everyone he has come in contact with, particularly his student-athletes.

Aside from his work from 1969-1971 as Middle School Assistant Principal and Dean of Students, and his many years teaching, Joe has coached many sports and brought Chaminade several honors. He has coached CYO Basketball, Varsity Girls’ Cross Country, Delphic League Girls’ Basketball, and Delphic Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country, the Middle School Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country, the Girls’ Valley A Basketball, and the Delphic Boys’ and Girls’ Track. 
 
Joe was CYO 1984 Coach of the Year, and coached many championship teams including the San Fernando Valley League Track Champions in 1981, the San Fernando Valley League Girls’ Cross Country Champions in 1981, the Mission League Girls’ Cross Country Champions in 1988, the CIF Southern Section Finalists in 1988, the CIF Girls’ Cross Country State Finalists in 1988, and the Mission League Girls’ Cross Country Champions in 1993.
