2006 Inductees

Kevin Dulsky '84
Kevin was a three-sport athlete who played football, basketball and baseball. As a football player, Kevin was an All-League linebacker his last two years, team captain as a senior and a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete. Playing four years as a linebacker at Harvard University, he was team captain of the 1988 Ivy League championship team.

Maureen LeCocq Ground '99
While a stand-out volleyball player, Maureen truly excelled at softball. She was a four-time Mission League Pitcher of the Year, four-time First-Team All-League, three-time First-Team All-CIF and two-time CIF MVP Pitcher. Before leading her 1999 team to a CIF section championship, she was named the 1999 Gatorade National High School Softball Player of the Year. Maureen continued her winning ways playing softball for the next four years at Stanford.

John McDonough '76
A three-sport athlete, John lettered in cross country, track and field, and basketball. He played on Chaminade’s varsity basketball team for three years and was twice co-captain as well as earning the titles of team MVP and All-League Player. In his junior year, he averaged 24 points a game. Following graduation, John played at Valley College, Azusa Pacific University and, professionally, in the New Zealand NBA.

Rich Montanio 
A head coach of both football and baseball, Rich ushered in the “modern era” of Chaminade football in 1979 by initiating off-season physical training. That same year, he coached the Eagles to a league co-championship and a sixth-place CIF ranking. Over the next seven years, Rich’s teams won or tied four league championships and six playoff berths.

Karen Shin '85
During her four years at Chaminade, Karen was a four-time tennis MVP who went undefeated in every CIF singles team match, earning her the 1985 CIF Southern Section Singles Championship. On a full-athletic scholarship to UC Berkeley, she was the top-ranked singles player all four years, the PAC-10 Player of the Year in 1987 and an Academic All-American in 1989.
