2004 Inductees

Tania Fischer '83
A four-year letter winner in track and cross-country, Tania was a two-time CIF cross-country champion and national prep athlete for the 3200 meter in 1983. She went on to UCLA on a track scholarship and competed in the 1996 Olympic track and field trials.

Jim and Penny Kelly
Proud parents of Robin ’82, Jill ’84, James ’86, and Brian ’89, Jim and Penny were quintessential volunteers. They tirelessly gave more than a decade to Eagle athletics and were instrumental in the successful fundraising for the athletic stadium.

Bernie Kyman
Influential in Southern California athletics where as a Coach/Athletic Director Bernie carried out Chaminade’s athletic-venue development master plan. He is also credited with founding the Chaminade Christmas Basketball Classic. Daughters Cassandra ’84 and Jodi ’86 are Chaminade alumni.

Timothy Lavin '88
Lettering in football, basketball, track, and baseball, Tim is Chaminade’s only football player to be named CIF Player-of-the-Year. He led his 1987 team to the School’s only CIF championship game and went on to USC, where he appeared in two Rose Bowl games.

Jack O'Neill '58
Jack, Chaminade's first All-League quarterback, was a member of the first football team to win a game, the first football team to have a winning season, and the first football team to go undefeated. An All-League standout in basketball as well, he lettered in both sports.

Jeffrey Signer '73
A football and track letterman, Jeff was named league co-MVP in football and qualified for CIF finals in track and field. He set a school record of 23’ 9.5” for the long jump and went on to Pomona College, taking part in both football and track and field.
