A MESSAGE FROM THE ADMINISTRATION REGARDING UPCOMING PARENT/GUARDIAN SURVEY

The high school is in the process of evaluating our Learning Management System (LMS) which is Blackboard. All our students and parents utilize this system for a variety of reasons like checking grades, receiving feedback from teachers, and locating assignments. As we evaluate our needs and what works best for our school, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Please be on the lookout this coming week for an email from the school with a link to a survey. This survey information will help us evaluate our LMS, so we need as much participation as possible. We thank you in advance for your willingness to share your thoughts with us.

    SAFETY DURING DROPOFF/PICKUP

Parents – we ask for your help in keeping the streets adjacent to campus safe. Recently we have noticed many parents making illegal U-turns, not stopping at stop signs, driving above the posted speed limits, and double-parking to pick up their students. For the safety of our students, we ask that you pick-up and drop-off on campus near the Tutor Center and cafeteria, not on Saticoy Ave or Cohasset St. Lastly, we respectfully ask that you listen to any instructions given by our guards and our staff members regarding morning pick-up or afternoon drop-off. We thank you for your cooperation!

    CHAMINADE HEALTH OFFICE

Chaminade has a Health officer/EMT on campus and students may come to the front office if they are not feeling well or need medical attention.

    ATTENDANCE

When you call the attendance office for a religious holiday absence, please leave that information in your message.  The attendance office phone number is (818) 347-0391.
Attendance is crucial for student success in the classroom.  As such, absences are categorized into either School-related Absence or Non-School-related absence.

    School-related absences:

School-sponsored events(athletics, retreats, counseling appointments, school activities, etc.)

    Early Release:

Parents and students should make every effort to schedule appointments outside of class time. To avoid classroom interruption, please schedule early dismissals in between blocks or at lunch.
When a student needs to leave school before the end of the school day, the parent must call and leave a message with the Attendance Office at (818) 347-0391 before 8:30 am for the same day notification. Please provide the student's name, grade level, reason for dismissal, and time of dismissal needed. No student will be allowed to leave campus early without parent permission. FINANCIAL AID

Tuition Assistance ~ Applications Due November 1, 2025

The financial aid application for the 2026-27 school year is now available.  If you feel you will need tuition assistance for the 2026-27 year, please complete the application no later than November 1, 2025.  This earlier due date is designed to better align with the reenrollment period that takes place in early February.

We have switched to Clarity to process the applications.  You will need to submit current paystubs in lieu of the end of year paystubs previously used.  Documents should be loaded by November 1, 2025.  Additional items may be requested at the time of review.

Your 2025 W2 forms will be needed as soon as available, Clarity will send a reminder in mid-January about this.

Families currently receiving tuition assistance need to reapply each year.  To access the application, go to Resources section in the Parent Portal under the Tuition-Financial Aid tile.  Online resources for filling out the application are available here as well.  If you will be applying for a new student to Chaminade for 2026-27 in addition to a returning student, you will still use the Returning Family due date. Taxes from 2024 will be needed, however Clarity will pull those from the IRS, authorization is in the application.

Applications received after the due date may be placed on a financial aid waiting list or will have a delayed decision.  For questions, please email financialaid@chaminade.org.

    Academic Resource Program (ARP)

The Academic Resource Program for the fall semester will start on Monday, September 8th and end on Thursday, December 11th (no meetings Thanksgiving Week). Chaminade offers the supplemental support service to assist students in meeting their educational goals. Mrs. Jill Stewart is the director for ARP. Mrs. Stewart has a wealth of experience in the area of academic support and student success. Accountability measures and organizational strategies are part of the program to assist our students in reaching their academic goals. The cost of participation in this program is $625 for each day of the week selected for the entire semester. For example, a family that selects the Tuesday as well as the Thursday sessions would have their student attend ARP each Tuesday and Thursday and would pay a total of $1,250 for the entire semester.  A family opting to send their student on Monday only, would pay $625 for the program for the entire semester.  Payment may be made in installments or in full at the time of registration. This program will meet in person in the high school library. Each student in the program will be assigned an academic mentor that will work with the student throughout the fall semester.
