Light the Night - October 18th - Details Below!

Saturday is the final day for donations, remember any monetary amount helps! We appreciate all donations to our team and please know it makes a huge impact in the fight against blood cancers. You can donate online or bring in donations to the main registration booth at the walk. Please make sure that both the student and parent are registered for the walk.
- When: Saturday, October 18th
- Where: Warner Center Park in Woodland Hills, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd, 91367
- What should we wear?: This year’s NAVY TIE DYE Chaminade spirit shirt or any NAVY Chaminade or regular shirt. We are selling a limited amount of 20th anniversary Light the Night t-shirts at our check in booth. They will be sold for $20, there is limited number of sizes available, but we will sell all that we have. Cash and credit card is accepted to purchase. Those who purchase the new shirt are invited to wear them for the event.
- What time should we arrive?: Check in will begin at 6pm at the Team Chaminade tent. All students MUST bring their Chaminade Student ID Card to check in!
- Where do we park? There is street parking around the park, but please be aware of all posted street and parking meter signage. The nearest parking structure is Warner Park Parking/ABM Parking Services, located at 21725 Califa Street. The parking rate is $11.25 for three hours with a max cap of $15.00. There is no LLS Light The Night validation available.
- When does the walk happen?: Check in will run from 6-6:30pm. We will take a team picture at 6:30 in front of the stage. You must be checked in by this time. The opening ceremony will begin at 6:50, with the walk beginning as the ceremony concludes.
- What is the check in process at the walk? Please find the tent that says Team Chaminade. Students should bring their student ID with them and scan in upon arrival. Both the student and family members will then receive a lantern to carry during the walk. There is no check out after the walk is finished.
- What do the colors mean of the three lanterns?
- Red – Those supporting finding a cure for blood cancer
- White – Those who have either survived a blood cancer or who are currently fighting the disease.
- Gold – In remembrance of someone who has died from a blood cancer.
- I raised $100 or more; how do I get my Champion of Cure shirt? After checking in at the Team Chaminade tent, please go to the t-shirt pick up area. You will need to give your name, and the LLS staff will give you a shirt.
- When is it over?: Closing festivities will happen at 8pm with a laser light show. You are free to leave as soon as you finish walking.
- Will there be food at the walk? We will not be serving any food or snacks, and no food trucks will be available. We encourage all participants to bring snacks and their own water bottles.
- How do I log my apostolic work hour? After the walk is finished, the student should log into x2vol and add 1 hour of apostolic work to their account. Please use msministry@chaminade.org as the supervisor email.

Buy Tickets! Preordering tickets will alleviate your child waiting in line during the lunch sales. Each ticket is worth $1. Items range in price from $1 to $20. All pre-ordered tickets purchased can be picked up at the

HERE. Students can also purchase tickets with cash or check (made out to Chaminade) during lunchtime on any of the days.
Tickets are good for all the days of the Justice Fair.
Parents May Attend Lastly, we are excited to announce we would like to invite all parents to come and support the Justice Fair throughout the week. Parents are invited to attend any of the days from Feb. 10
th to 12
th.
On Monday, lunch will run from 11:43am to 12:28pm and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:23am to 1:08 pm. Parents can purchase tickets at a special adult only line in the grass area closest to the library above the Justice Fair.
Apostolic Works Opportunities
Volunteers Cleaning Communities – Saturday, November 8th – 9 am to 11 am
Come out and help clean up our communities on Tampa from Rinaldi to Ventura Blvd.
There will be 4-6 people in a group assigned to a specific section of the street. All materials are provided and you also get a souvenir shirt!
Hope the Mission – On-going opportunities
Kitchen Prep Nights – Wednesdays 5 pm to 7 pm at the Hope the Mission kitchen in North Hills.
Socktober Drive – Donate new socks for those served by the mission.
Fall Activity – Bingo, board games, crafts or karaoke – share your time, lead the fun and help build community with guests of the mission.
Drumstick Dash LA – November 22nd, 23rd, 26th and 27th.
