The Chaminade C-Notes

The C-Notes is a non-auditioned middle school choir open to boys and girls in sixth, seventh and eighth grade. Students are given opportunities to express their individual musical talents, and develop life skills that result in confident and expressive singing.  Students learn proper vocal reading technique, music reading, and perform a wide variety of song repertoire.  The C-Notes perform at Choral Festivals, celebrations, Christmas and Spring Concerts, and other events on the Middle and High School campus.

Over the years, the C-Notes have performed at Chaminade University in Hawaii; the Heritage Choral Festival in San Diego, the Louisville High School Choral Festival and other events such as the America Sings Festival in Washington D.C.  Each year, the C-Notes perform on stage or take a Vocal Soundtrack Recording workshop at Disneyland in Anaheim.

Chaminade College Preparatory C-Notes have performed on the Carnegie Hall stage for the National Youth Choral Festival as the “feature choir” in 2011, 2013 and 2015. The C-Notes recently won “Gold’ in the Heritage Choral Festival this past April at Fullerton College. The C-Notes have again been invited to perform in the National Youth Choral Festival at Carnegie Hall on March 12, 2017.
