Chaminade is proud to announce that it has earned Platinum recognition on the AP® School Honor Roll for the 2024–25 school year, marking the third consecutive year Chaminade has received the highest level of distinction awarded by the College Board.

Platinum recognition honors schools nationwide that demonstrate success in expanding participation in Advanced Placement coursework and in supporting students on the path to college readiness and success. Chaminade’s continued Platinum distinction is a testament to our continued dedication and commitment to academic rigor, thoughtful preparation, and meaningful student support.
“Being recognized for the third consecutive year as a Platinum school is a testament to our continued dedication to academic rigor, thoughtful preparation, and meaningful student support. This achievement reflects the leadership and collaboration of the school’s Advanced Placement program, guided by AP Coordinators June Hunter and Janet Svolos, whose work supports both student access and success across the curriculum,” said Scott Borchart ’01, Director of Counseling. “AP courses allow students to learn at a pace that matches their readiness while building the confidence and skills they need for college-level work.”

At Chaminade, the AP program is an integral part of the college preparatory experience. Students who receive college credit can accelerate through their academic program, while all students in the AP program can experience the rigor and expectations of college coursework consistently.
“Our commitment to integral quality education, a pillar of our Marianist charism, is at the heart of this achievement,” said Luis Guerra, Chaminade High School Principal. “This recognition is a reflection of the dedication of our educators, who challenge and support our students every day, helping them to grow and develop with confidence.”
By combining academic excellence with a mission-driven approach to education, Chaminade continues to foster intellectual curiosity, personal growth, and ethical leadership, ensuring students are well prepared for college and for life beyond the classroom.
