Students Help Inspire New Experiences

SHINE brings together a group of seventh and eighth-grade students who are passionate about growing in their faith while serving their school community. These young leaders support campus ministry during collection drives, guide the school in Catholic Schools and Marianist Heritage Week activities, and organize prayer services and schoolwide Masses.

Students seeking a more active role in schoolwide Masses are welcome to join this ministry, where they serve at the altar and proclaim God's word. 

The Liturgical Choir welcomes students who want to share their musical gifts in service to their school community. Members use their voices and instruments to lead fellow students in worship at schoolwide Masses throughout the year.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children 

Middle school students—both baptized and non-baptized—can prepare to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Penance, and Eucharist. In partnership with St. John Eudes Parish in Chatsworth, students meet weekly on campus during school hours for instruction and attend Sunday family Mass at the parish.

Students who are at least 15 years old and confirmed in the Catholic Church may serve as Eucharistic Ministers, assisting in the distribution of Holy Communion at schoolwide Masses.

High school retreat leaders serve as student mentors who assist in both middle school and high school retreats. They guide group discussions, lead activities, share personal reflections, and create welcoming, faith-centered environments. Through this ministry, student leaders help younger students grow spiritually and build community while developing their own leadership and communication skills.

Living In Faith Experience

Rooted in the Catholic Marianist tradition, Marianist LIFE is a national faith-formation leadership program for a group of juniors and seniors. Based on Fr. Chaminade's vision of building small communities with family spirit, LIFE members host monthly meetings, inspire the community through public displays of faith, lead daily morning and afternoon prayers, assist with schoolwide Masses, organize liturgical prayer services, and guide the entire school community during Catholic Schools and Marianist Heritage Week
