COVID-19 Protocols

As a Chaminade family, we have embraced our mission to love, learn, and lead that has guided us throughout this pandemic and made us even stronger. We are excited to welcome all of our students and Marianist educators back on campus for full-time, in-person instruction. Please know that our reopening plans are predicated by official state and county guidelines and are subject to change at any time.

COVID-19 Testing Platform and Submission of Vaccination Cards

COVID-19 Testing with Heluna Health
Heluna Health will provide free rapid antigen testing on campus. The advantages of this testing program include: 1) results are available within 15 minutes, allowing us to quickly identify students who are infected, notify their families, and send them home to prevent transmission on campus; 2) increased testing capacity; and 3) families do not need to provide personal insurance or pay for testing.

With this testing program, only unvaccinated students will be required to test each week – either on campus or at a health clinic. Vaccinated students may also elect to be tested on campus.

  1. To test on campus, register and create a profile for your student in the “Primary Health” platform using this link. Student test results will be sent to the email and phone number provided during registration. If you encounter technical difficulties while registering, please contact “Primary Health” at (562) 222-7795.

  2. If you prefer to make arrangements for weekly testing at a health clinic – home tests are not acceptable – please send your student’s test results to either MSTesting@chaminade.org (for middle school students) or HSTesting@chaminade.org (for high school students). Results must be received each week by Wednesday at 3:00 pm.

All students, regardless of their vaccination status, may be subject to testing for certain activities, such as trips to off-campus venues for retreats, field trips, and other overnight trips, as well as athletic and other competitions. Please click here for more information from DPH regarding the importance of testing programs for schools

Compliance Task Forces

The Compliance Oversight Task Force coordinates all efforts to mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19 at Chaminade. It is responsible for adhering to all COVID-19 safety protocols issued by the county. It also advises and oversees the work of each campus’s own Compliance Task Force, which are responsible for establishing and enforcing campus-specific safety protocols, as well as educating students and employees.

Each campus’ Compliance Task Force is responsible for monitoring on-site adherence to safety protocols, and responding to reported COVID-19 cases among students and/or employees by activating the School Exposure Management Plan.

Health Coordinator
A Health Coordinator will work with each campus’ Compliance Task Force to establish and maintain systems to protect the health of our school community, as well as to provide care to affected individuals. The Health Coordinator will liaise between Chaminade and the DPH in the event of an on-site outbreak.
