  • Academic Resource Program

    Eighth-graders planning to attend a Catholic high school in Los Angeles and Ventura counties are required to take a comprehensive entrance exam as part of the admissions process. Students in this course will review the math, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar skills on the exams and learn test-taking strategies to help them work faster and more confidently to maximize their score.

  • PSAT Prep Classes

    A student’s performance on the upcoming PSAT can qualify him/her for National Merit Scholarship opportunities. The PSAT provides an excellent opportunity to have exposure to the content and timing of the SAT exam juniors will be taking in the spring. This workshop series is designed to help students maximize their scores on all sections of the exam. Students will learn high level and effective, proven test-taking strategies.  Instruction, followed by collaborative, guided, and independent practice, provides the foundation for the course and prepares students for success.

    September 16, 23, 30 and October 7 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm
    September 25, October 2, 9 & 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm

  • Football - Advanced Clinic

    The Advanced Player Clinic is for 6th- 8th-grade players and coaches. Participants will be coached and instructed by current and former Chaminade Varsity coaches and players. Coaches get an inside look at practice planning and the installation of all parts of the game: offense, defense, and special teams. Players will learn the fundamentals of football on offense, defense, special teams, and weightlifting.

  • SAT Prep Class

    This SAT Prep workshop series is an important course designed to help students maximize their scores on all sections of this exam. This particular session is scheduled to target those taking the SAT in the spring, ending only a few days before the test date. In addition to reviewing the basic verbal and mathematical skills assessed on the SAT exam, students will learn high level and effective, proven test-taking strategies. Instruction, followed by collaborative, guided, and independent practice, provides the foundation for the course. By boosting confidence and gaining strong familiarity with not only necessary content but also strategic reasoning, this course will prepare students for success.

    Week of February 3 – Week of March 6 (Specific Dates TBA)
    Week of April 27 – Week of June 1 (Specific Dates TBA)
