Making an appointment with a counselor
Each guidance counselor makes his or her own appointments. Students will meet with the counselor at least once per semester. However, if students wish to meet more frequently they can signup for an appointment on their counselor's office door. Parents who would like to meet with their child's counselor should call for an appointment.

Homework requests after short term absence
Parents can call the Guidance Department secretary for assistance in obtaining assignments and homework for their child when he/she is absent for more than three days. The secretary will request work from the various teachers and collect it in the Guidance Office where the parent, sibling, or responsible party can pick it up. For absences of fewer than three days, please call or email the teacher or contact another student from each class.

Progress Reports
Progress report forms are available in the Guidance Office and may be picked up by students or parents.  It is a generic form so the student’s name, class, and date must be filled in.  The student is then responsible to give the form to the teacher and pick it up when it’s completed.  Because of our block schedule, the Guidance counselors recommend giving them to teacher every two or three weeks apart.  This allows time enough for there to be sufficient assessments to reflect change in the grade.
