Robert S. Webb
Robert S. Webb became Chaminade College Preparatory’s fifth president in 2014. Mr. Webb previously served as Chaminade’s vice president for institutional advancement, a role he has held since 2004, and has 23 years of experience in Catholic education. As vice president, he successfully launched and completed the school’s largest capital campaign – a $6 million fundraising effort to build the Tutor Family Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Webb also played an integral role in the school’s efforts to build a formal international program which brought 29 Chinese students to Chaminade in its first year.
When Mr. Webb began his tenure as vice president in 2004, he returned home. He worked at the school from 1997 to 2002 as Chaminade’s director of athletics and physical education. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Webb served as director of athletics and afternoon programs at the Webb Schools in Claremont, California. He has also worked as the head basketball coach and was a teacher of math, social sciences, health and physical education at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills.
In addition to his work at Chaminade College Preparatory, Rob serves as an adjunct consultant with Catholic School Management, a Connecticut firm that serves Catholic schools nationwide. Rob’s work with CSM focuses on comprehensive development program assessments, marketing programs, annual giving programs, capital campaign feasibility studies, and capital campaigns.
Raised in the San Fernando Valley, Mr. Webb received his bachelor of arts degree in speech communication from California State University, Northridge and a master’s degree in educational administration form Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California.
Mr. Webb and his wife Sarah, who is a psychologist for L.A. Unified, are the proud parents of two Chaminade students, Luke ’18 and James “Jater” ’20.
