MOCK TRIAL CAMP Weeks 3 – 5 Entering 6th – 8th grade Come learn about the criminal justice system from the coaches of the seven-time Los Angeles County Champion Chaminade Mock Trial Team. Students will learn the skills of trial advocacy including rules of evidence, how to examine witnesses, give opening statements, and make closing arguments. On the last day of camp, students will have the opportunity to present a criminal trial for parents and family. Open to all 6th, 7th, & 8th graders. Fees include all materials. EAGLES TAKE FLIGHT! Weeks 3 – 5 Entering 6th – 8th grade This three-week workshop will immerse new students in a daily three-hour experience especially designed to prepare them for starting the new school year off right at Chaminade’s Chatsworth campus. Each student will attend three classes daily to expose them to the skills and knowledge expected of entering Chaminade students. One hour of study skills will be complimented by an hour long “Introduction to Chaminade” class, plus an hour of computer keyboarding and applications to prepare for our One-to-One Tablet PC Program. June 26 – July 14 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. or 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Fee: $455

Artistic Crafts Camp Weeks 3-4 Entering 1st-3rd and 4-8th gradeThis new camp with is offered for two consecutive weeks in July, with a different focus each week.  Enroll for one or both weeks! Students will explore ceramics, printing/stamp making, and acrylic painting and create multiple pieces each week using the designated material. At the end of the camp, students will be able to showcase their work at an “art show” for friends, family, and other summer students to attend. June 26-June 30 and July 3-7 (no classes on July 4th)Fee: $180

VEX IQ ROBOTICS Entering 4-8th grade Weeks 1, 2, 3, and 5   4VEX IQ is a robotics platform designed to transform STEM learning for young student. The curriculum offers flexible units of instruction that can be used in sequence, in chunks, or as standalone lessons. The project-based units instill proper engineering and programming practices from an early age, while maintaining the fun and excitement that comes from playing with VEX IQ. VEX IQ curriculum is a learning tool that will excite and inspire students. This course is offered to students in grades 4-8. Come for one week, or all four.  Students enrolled in multiple weeks will be grouped together to complete more challenging activities.June 12 – 16, June 19 – 23, June 26 – June 30, and July 10 – 14 July 3-7 NO CLASSES 7/4Fee $190 per week

CHAMINADE SUMMER READING BOOT CAMP Week 5 Entering 6th grade only. This class is just what it sounds like: a structured review of the assigned summer reading for our new 6th graders. Students will have an opportunity to read and discuss the required summer reading book and prepare to take that reading quiz on the first day of English class! July 10 – 14 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Fee: $160

ROCK BAND  Weeks  4 – 5 in Chatsworth  Entering 1st – 6th grade

Experience the thrill of playing all the instrumentsof a rock band in this exciting class! Students rotate between guitar/bass, voice, keyboards and drums in 45 minute  intervals as they prepare to play in a rockin’ ensemble. All students will have fun while working on a popular rock/pop song as they hone their skills on different musical instruments. The new musicians will perform in small band settings at the end of class. Set your inner rock star free!
