Message From the Chaminade President
Welcome to Chaminade College Preparatory!
We are in our 64th year of educating students in the Catholic Marianist tradition, and every year we focus on one of the five Characteristics of Marianist education. This year we celebrate our philosophy to educate in the family spirit. We also join with the Marianist Province of the United States to celebrate the Marianist bicentennial.
In June 320 members of the Class of 2016 joined the ranks of Eagle alumni – a group that is now more than 10,000 strong! The future is bright for the Class of 2016. They are headed to universities and colleges across the nation, including Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, Notre Dame, the United States Air Force Academy, USC, and UCLA.
Last year, we also witnessed the founding of our first all-girls robotics team; and for the first time in school history, three high school teams qualified for the VRC World Championship. Our middle school choir, the C-Notes, once again amazed us with their talent and won a superior rating of Gold during the Worldstrides On Stage Heritage Festival. They have been invited to perform for a fourth time on the Carnegie Hall stage at the National Youth Festival on March 12, 2017. Girls’ Basketball won their second state championship title, and Mock Trial reached the state semi-finals. It was a good year to be an Eagle.
This year promises to be another great year. We’ve renovated and revitalized our Campus Ministry spaces at both campuses. The heartbeat of our school will continue to grow and thrive as our ministry programs help our students, who come from various religious backgrounds, develop and share their faith journey. Our broad curriculum and active integration of technology into the learning environment bolster our academic excellence. The Chaminade experience is also enhanced by our investment and commitment to the arts and creativity, as well as athletics.
As you browse through our website, I hope you get a sense of our beautiful campuses, our rich academic, arts, athletic and extracurricular offerings, and of our family spirit. I invite you to call us, visit our campuses, and meet the Chaminade family to learn all that you can about our school. I hope you will consider joining us at Chaminade, and I pray that God blesses you and guides you in your decision.
