  2. Find your name in the faculty list table
  3. Click and open your web site in your browser
  4. Open your web site with FrontPage
  5. When prompted for your User Name:  if you are login from outside the school's network, enter academic\your username. If you are login from inside the school, use only your username.
  6. When prompted for your Password enter the password you normally use to log into the school network
  7. After FrontPage opens your web, proceed to open the appropriate page to edit it, create a new web page, etc.

The faculty web sites are provided by Chaminade as a service to all teachers, students and parents.  As such, Chaminade's Web Authoring & Publishing Policy and the Appropriate Use Policy must be adhered to at all times and it is the teacher's responsibility to be familiar with these policies.

The faculty web sites are publicly viewable by all Internet visitors but can be created and/or edited only by faculty members with the appropriate access permissions and login credentials. The sites reside on Chaminade servers that are members of the Academic domain. Faculty members use their login credentials to the Academic domain in order to open their web sites and edit their pages using Microsoft FrontPage.

The faculty web sites are publicly accessible in the following ways:

  1. Directly at High School Faculty Web Sites and Middle School Faculty Web Sites.
  2. From each academic department's web page.
  3. Via the hyperlink appearing when searching the Employee Directory.

Each faculty member has his/her own web site named after his/her login name in the Academic domain. The web sites are grouped into middle school (MS) and high school (HS).

Each faculty web site needs to have its home page named start.htm since this is the default page displayed when a site is requested by a browser without specifying a particular page. The start.htm page needs to have three links back to Chaminade's public web site.

  1. Back to CHAMINADE COLLEGE PREPARATORY home page.
  2. Back to the appropriate campus' start page.
  3. Back to the appropriate department's start page.

Web information of interest to Chaminade's general constituency should be published on the school's official web site. Faculty web sites should focus on information related to the particular teacher's classroom activities.

Since security is of paramount importance for all publicly accessible web sites, make sure to never give login credentials to students or other individuals and to not allow students to edit your web pages. Faculty must report any possible breach of security to a member of MIS immediately.

It is the teacher's responsibility to maintain his/her web site current and relevant without compromising Chaminade's security, integrity and content standards. It is also the teacher's responsibility to maintain a current backup of his/her web site on local media.
