Code of Practice for Volunteers
To promote excellence in service and maximize the quality of my
experience as a volunteer I will:

Recognize my own
motive for being a volunteer and ensure that Chaminade College
Preparatory is aware of them

Seek opportunities
appropriate to my skills, interest and aspirations

Be committed to
giving the best quality of service.

Carry out all work
that I agree to do responsibly and ethically.

Speak out about any
concerns that might affect my work relationships or quality of
service

See myself as a
valued team member with the right to contribute to decisions
which affect my volunteer work.
Responsibilities of Volunteers

Make an informed
decision to work as a volunteer with the school

Undertake personal
orientation and training as required

Behave in an ethical
manner

Keep school and
parent matters confidential

Be committed to the
school’s mission statement and objectives

Inform the school
when unable to undertake or complete a task or assignment

Use appropriate
informational channels with the school when needing information
or support

Be aware of the
limits of their role within the school community

Act as a member of
the team

Be aware of protocol
when representing the school

Commit to achieving
results and making an effective contribution to the work of the
school
