Eleven-red two-pocket folders (with center fasteners to hold paper) for Social Studies
One green spiral notebook (single subject) for Science
One green two pocket folder (able to fit into binder) for Science
One purple spiral notebook (single subject) for Literature
One purple two pocket folder (able to fit into binder) for Literature
One yellow spiral (single subject) for Language Skills
One yellow two pocket folder (able to fit into binder) for Language Skills
3 x 5 inch index card binder or a 1-inch metal ring to hold note cards (this item will not be needed until  November) for Language Skills
3 x 5 inch note cards (2 hole-punched--you may have to punch these yourself) for Language Skills
One composition notebook (not spiral) for Religion
One blue two pocket folder (able to fit into binder) for Religion
Inexpensive 4 function calculator (add, subtract, multiply and divide) for Math and Science
Constant supply of:
#2 pencils
Blue or black erasable pens
Red pens
Black Sharpie (ultra fine)
Lined, loose-leaf paper (wide or college ruled)

  • Sixth grade uses a color-coding system of folders and notebooks for organizational purposes.

  • Other items may be required by specific teachers during the school year.
  • Items such as paper and pens will need to be in constant supply during the school year.
  • Electronic planners and hand-held computers are not acceptable for use in any classroom.

Sixteen two-pocket folders with center fasteners to hold paper (fifteen for social studies and one for language skills)

Four solid-colored college-ruled spiral notebooks that are a minimum 100 pages each (two are for literature, one is for language skills, and one is for religion to be used as a prayer journal)

Seven packages of any type of dividers (to be used in binders and the two-pocket folders)

College ruled loose-leaf paper

Graph paper (4 grid lines to the inch)

Supply of 3 x 5 index cards (lined or unlined)

12-inch ruler

Three-hole punch (flat binder style to be placed in the 2 inch binder)
