Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen

In this book Halley, a very shy girl, must change for her ironically bold best friend, Scarlet. When Halley is called from camp by Scarlet, Halley finds out the vague boy she never new that was Scarlet’s boyfriend is dead. Halley must come home to comfort her and finds out her biggest secret. Along with keeping the biggest secret of her life she finds out her grandma Halley who she was named after, is dieing and he mother begins to slip away from her. Then to make her life worse someone else finds out Scarlet’s secret and spreads it around so just about everyone knows. Along with that a new mysterious vague rebel named Macon and just happens to fall in love with him. Macon wants more than she can give him and he changes her dramatically. With him she does things she never would have dreamed of doing. But in the end a very “graceful” surprise happens to everyone.

I really liked this book. I couldn’t stop reading it! I even read some of the parts over and over again. I could read it forever and it would never get boring. On most nights you could see a little light under my covers and the book was “misplaced”. This book was very deep and descriptive which makes it an even better book. It is an easy-read teen novel that hooks you right from the start.
