Luke Garner has lived in hiding all his life. Luke, like many others, is an illegal third child. He, along with his family, lives out on a farm, with a forest in back of the their house. Luke spends a lot of his time in the forest where no one can find him and he can remain safe. But when the government decides to take down the forest and build expensive new homes, Luke is forced to stay in the house and up in the attic. Luke becomes bored and longs for the outdoors, so he spends most of his time looking out the attic vents. One day, Luke sees another face in a window in one of the expensive houses. Is this child, another third child? Will this person lead Luke into a series of dangerous adventures and misfortunes? Find out by reading Margaret Peterson Haddix’s great book – Among the Hidden.

This book is an exciting adventurous story that will keep you hooked until the very last page. I gave this book a five star rating. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves adventures and science fiction. The author used incredible language that kept me reading.
