Ella Enchanted is a story about a girl who is under the curse of obedience and how this “gift” could destroy or shape her life.  Since Ella was a baby, a simple order such as “stop crying” would make her tears come to a cease.  But as she gets older, these orders make her life miserable. When people command her to do things against her will, she has no choice but
to follow.  But one day when Ella is challenged to make the most important decision of her living existence, to save the life of the guy she loves; she discovers that rescuing him, would also salvage her.  Through her perseverance, integrity, and good heart; her brave decision resulted in the ultimate happiness: love.
