The Vile Village by Lemony Snicket

The Vile Village is an unfortunate story of the Baudelaire children.  Mr. Poe sends the Baudelaire orphans to a village with the initials V.F.D. and the orphans hope to find out the mystery of the initials V.F.D in the village.  In V.F.D. the orphans stay at a man named Hector even though the whole village will raise the children.  While living with Hector the Baudelaire orphans find a couplet which is written by Isadora Quagmire.  While doing chores for the village an officer tells the children that Count Olaf has been captured and jumps to the statement that this is true.  Count Olaf is supposed to be burned, but the children find out that it is not Count Olaf and is really a man named Jacques.  Soon, Count Olaf comes disguised as a detective and has a plan to steal the Baudelaire’s fortune.  Will the children find the Quagmires?  Will Jacques be killed?  Will Count Olaf be captured?  Read this book and find out.

This is a great book because it is full of suspense and makes you want to keep reading.  Count Olaf always tries to find a plan that is filled with evil to try and steal the Baudelaire’s fortune and it is fun to read what will Count Olaf do next.  When I read this book I was surprised over and over again from the twists and turns in this book.  This is a great book that is fun for everyone to read.
