The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster

Filled with fantasy from beginning to end "The Phantom Tollbooth" is a book about the adventures of a boy who felt desolate and tired of the normal, everyday lifestyle. This boy by the name of Milo just simply did not have much of a fondness for life... until one day he comes home to something that makes him unmistakably excited and curious beyond means. From adventures to a land full of words known and unknown, to a land that runs by music, and then to a land called Ignorance, Milo makes countless friends who are there with him through thick and thin. What is the point of this journey? What led Milo there? And who does he rescue to save the day and lands? You just do not know till you read of Milo and his friends breathtaking adventures.

If I were to rate this book from a scale of one to ten, I would probably rate it a ten. The reason being this book just inspires me and I am sure all other readers to look beyond the main picture and crux of situations. It definitely taught me to take the time to notice just the little things in life which make all the environments I experience so beautiful like it is, and to take the time to meet someone, say hello, smell flowers, and smile at someone. Basically, I realized that I should thank God for all the things that I possess that are tangible and intangible in life.
