Summary
LaVaughn, a fourteen-year-old girl who is perfect with her schoolwork, her conscience and her life is accepting a job with difficulties in physical and mental ways. LaVaughn is accepting a babysitting job for a seventeen-year-old girl, Jolly, who has two kids and has barely grown up herself. Jolly has no family and has accepted her two kids with absentee fathers who are almost three years old and just a baby. See how LaVaughn and Jolly get along and sometimes fight to earn their own lives. Also see how LaVaughn helps Jolly get back into gear by starting school and by learning how to share her love with her children.
My Opinion
I loved this book. It taught you how to respect yourself in many ways and by never giving up. It sent me a message that even if you have the worst life and can barely live, you can always change what is going on.
