Taken from her dying parents, separated from her sister, betrayed by her first true love, little Chiyo was taken to a geisha district in the city of Kyoto. Finally, after two years, she is able to start her geisha apprenticeship under the guidance of Memeha and receives her geisha name of Sayuri. Now, Sayuri has everything she has worked for, beautiful kimonos, money, and many men wanting her to be their mistress. However, the Chairman has caught her eye and she will not rest until she is his mistress. This will be hard though, with Hatsumomo trying to ruin her and all the other men that want her for themselves. Will Sayuri be able to escape the wrath of Hatsumomo and become the Chairman’s mistress? Will she even be able to keep herself out of danger?
