Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson

Written by Joe Lawrence

The year is 1793, in the summer.  Matilda Cook lives in a coffee house run by her mother Lucile Cook.  The Cooks live normal lives until one of Matilda's best friends dies.  Soon Matilda's mother catches the fever and Matilda has to run away with her grandfather. Fever soon spreads through out Philadelphia quickly and they have to get out of there fast, before it is to late.

I thought the book was really good because it taught facts about history and it had suspense in it.
