Doomed Queen Anne by Carolyn Meyer
Anne Boleyn won the heart of the most powerful man in England, King Henry VIII. Yet, everyone hated her. She was completely alone. Born with an extra finger and a mole on her neck, Anne Boleyn grew up in the shadow of her extremely attractive sister, Mary. She was the “ill-favored child”. Anne was constantly whispered about and thought to be a witch. Her family worried that Anne would become absolutely nothing, yet that did not stop her desire to succeed in becoming the Queen of England. This desire to succeed was her power. And yet, this desire was also her downfall. But before you judge her pride, contemplate on what you would have done if you were in her place.Doomed Queen Anne by Carolyn Meyer is an excellent book that allows you to go into the lives of a young royal. I enjoyed this book immensely. Although it may seem that this book has no central message, you learn that you definitely need to be careful for what you strive for. She wanted to be Queen of England and that led to her death. If I had to rate this book as a teacher grades a paper, I would most likely give this book an A. Doomed Queen Anne is definitely a book for the lovers of historical fiction.
