Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging by By Louise Rennison
Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging is a realistic fiction book. The author, Louise Rennison, is English so many of the words in the book may seem foreign, but just for the American readers, there has been an added glossary of these English words. This book is a diary written by a girl named Georgia Nicolson. Her best friend’s name is Jas, but they are constantly getting in fights. In the beginning, Jas meets this guy named Tom. To Jas, Tom is the greatest, but when the girls meet Tom’s older brother, Robbie, Georgia goes crazy. She is in love with this “sex god.” The only problem is, he has a girlfriend and she is too young for him. When Georgia realizes this, she takes drastic measures. For example, free kissing lessons. Then, Robbie sees Georgia with her “kissing teacher” which completely ruined her chances with him. Will Georgia get the man of her dreams? Or will she be spying from afar for her life?
Personally, I enjoyed reading this book. It was very interesting, but it jumps around a lot. It will be talking about one thing, and then completely change subjects. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate it as an 8.5. This book taught me that you may not always get what you want, but sometimes when you do, the outcome isn’t always what you would expect it to be.
