The
Chaminade College Preparatory Business Office is committed to
providing support to the school community in meeting its Christian
stewardship responsibilities. The Business Office goal is to provide
financial services to families, donors, the Board of Directors,
administrators, faculty and staff in a professional, courteous, timely
and fiduciary responsible manner. Services provided to families and
students include financial aid administration, tuition billing,
intercampus shuttle service, cafeteria operations, and textbook
services.
It is
the responsibility of the Business Office to monitor that donations
are used in accordance with conditions stipulated by donors.
Additionally, the Business Office is responsible for managing the
investment of endowment donations in accordance with policies
established by the Board of Directors. Annually, all endowment
earning are allocated in accordance with donor stipulations.
Business Office personnel are responsible for preparing interim
financial reports for the Board of Directors and the annual financial
statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
of the United States. In connection with maintaining a comprehensive
accounting system, the Business Office maintains a relevant internal
control structure. Additionally, the Business Office manages
financial planning from current and long range budget development
through full implementation.
The
Business Office works in partnership with administrators, faculty and
staff through out the organization in fulfilling its Christian
stewardship responsibilities. This involves budget management,
operational fiscal responsibility, evaluation of past operations and
planning for the future of Chaminade. The Business Office is directly
responsible for financial record keeping, investment management,
insurance maintenance, tuition management for over 1,700 students,
financial aid administration for approximately 220 applicants,
issuance of 7,000 payments to more than 1,500 companies and
individuals each year, financial institution relationships, outside
funding sources, annual financial audit, institutional wide contract
negotiation, and financial planning support services to over 100
administrators, faculty and staff.
